26 Oct Seattle Parks Superintendent Jesús Aguirre to Speak at Tiny Trees Luncheon
Join me in welcoming Jesús Aguirre to the Tiny Trees community on November 6 at the Tiny Trees Luncheon. He will share his vision for Seattle’s Parks and why he is excited for Tiny Trees and the movement to bring outdoor, nature rich and affordable preschool to scale across the city. Recently appointed by Mayor Ed Murray to the position of Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation Jesús comes to Seattle from D.C. where he turned around an ailing parks system by reforming operations, building outside partnerships with non-profits and foundations and responding to a changing and growing community much like Seattle. As a former science teacher and superintendent of education in Washington D.C. Jesús also has a personal passion for the work Tiny Trees is doing to close the education gap by making preschool more affordable and to give more kids a vibrant, joyful childhood: one immersed in the wonders of the natural world.
Register at TinyTrees.org/luncheon. Only 30 tickets remain!! Deadline November 1.
