Tiny Trees is hiring multiple lead and assistant teachers as well as substitute teachers to fill positions at 6 new schools opening in Fall 2018.

Lead Teacher
You will be the most senior educator at your outdoor classroom’s park and will work closely with our director of education, regional manager, team of coordinators, curriculum coaches, and fellow teachers. Teach and develop curriculum, incorporate anti-bias curriculum, assess students, mentor your staff and volunteers, and much, much more!
Full time exempt position (40 hours per week) or 30 hours per week paid hourly. Pay is $18.75 an hour (equivalent to $39,000/yr salary), increasing to $19.23 after 6 months (equivalent to $40,000/yr salary). Additional increases after one year based on performance.
Benefits are split between bi-weekly pay periods and prorated for part time staff:
- Health insurance: Choice of stipend of $3,600/year or employer provided Gold level health care plan from Kaiser Permanente.
- Retirement benefit: $1,425 cash contribution starting after 6 months of employment.
- Technology stipend: $300/year
- Paid training (approximately 18 days/year): monthly professional development and annual staff training.
- Discounts on outdoor clothing.
- 80 hours paid time off (PTO) plus 10 holidays and 5 school closure days (total paid time off a yr: 5 weeks).
Assistant Teacher
Work closely with our director of education, regional manager, team of coordinators, curriculum coaches, and lead teacher. Teach and help develop curriculum, support the lead teacher, and assure that the children have an awesome time all the time!
This is a 40 or 30 hour per week position. Pay is $15.38 an hour, increasing to $16.00 after one year. Promotion to lead teacher (and sizable salary increase) possible after one year.
Benefits are split between bi-weekly pay periods and prorated for part time staff:
- Health insurance: Choice of stipend of $3,600/year or employer provided Gold level health care plan from Kaiser Permanente.
- Retirement benefit: $1,200 cash contribution starting after 6 months of employment.
- Technology stipend: $300/year
- Paid training (approximately 18 days/year): monthly professional development and annual staff training.

Substitute Teacher
Work closely with our director of education, team of coordinators, and fellow teachers. Fill in at various school locations when the lead or assistant teachers are “out of the office”. Support the lead or assistant teacher while having fun with the children and enhancing their day with the excitement of a visitor.
This is an on-call position. Pay is $15.38 an hour, increasing to $16.00 after equivalent of one year of work. Discounts on outdoor clothing available.
