Dear Tiny Trees Community,

I joined the Tiny Trees Preschool Board of Directors because its innovative approach to early education (outdoor preschool) is a powerful new approach for meeting our community’s biggest challenges and connecting more children with life-changing opportunities.

We’re seeking a new Executive Director, and I’m hoping you might know potential candidates:

Tiny Trees Preschool (www.tinytrees.org) is looking for its next Executive Director: someone deeply committed to affordable, high-quality early learning opportunities for all children (especially those living furthest from opportunity) and passionate about an innovative education model where children learn by exploring and playing in nature.

At Tiny Trees’ 12 outdoor classrooms in parks across Seattle and King County, more than 300 children explore the natural world and gain the social, emotional, language, and problem solving skills needed for kindergarten and a lifetime of success.

The successful candidate will have expertise building organizational capacity and scaling programs, a strong foundation in board and staff development, experience cultivating public/private partnerships, and the capacity to lead on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tiny Trees’ next Executive Director should share the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship, and be excited to occasionally pull on a pair of rubber boots and play in the woods with 3-5 year olds.
