This form acts as your application for financial assistance to attend Tiny Trees Preschool in the 2022-23 school year.

Financial Assistance at Tiny Trees

For the 2022-2023 School Year, Tiny Trees has a sliding-scale financial assistance structure to more broadly serve our families. A starting point in our decision, though not the only consideration, are household incomes that are less than 400% of the national poverty line (see table below or visit this page). Our financial assistance pool is funded through grants and donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, and partnerships with organizations and entities that believe in our program. In this portion of the application we will aim to gather information from you and your family so that we can assess how we can meet your financial needs through these funding sources. All families are responsible for paying the $50/child non-refundable enrollment fee at this time, but you are not required to pay the $350 enrollment deposit at the time of enrollment if it presents a barrier to completing your enrollment. Please reach out if you have any questions.

You will receive notification of your award no later than April 19, 2022, and you will have a window of time to accept the assistance and pay your enrollment deposit. Based on our financial projections, we aim to reduce tuition rates at an average of 30%.

The financial assistance application opens in the spring when enrollment begins. Please submit your application at your earliest convenience, and by April 10th. The priority deadline is April 10, 2022, to be considered for our primary round of financial assistance awarding/bulk financial awarding.

While we cannot guarantee that we can meet this number, understanding families’ needs is key. We invite you to consider your childcare budget and the aide you need. You will only be able to insert a dollar amount in this box for your ideal monthly cost.

To help us find the right type of aide for your family, and because tax returns are not able to provide a complete picture of a family’s situation, please give us a brief description of your circumstances. Submit documentation for all income your household receives. For employment, this includes a tax return and recent paystubs, or other documentation like TANF, a child support statement or other materials that shows your family’s annual income. Financial Assistance Through Our Partners

Tiny Trees helps families connect with other/external funding opportunities, such as Goodwin Connections, the Working Connections Child Care subsidy (we are an approved provider/some of our locations are eligible to accept this subsidy), and the Seattle Preschool Program (at some of our locations). Please answer the questionnaire below to determine your eligibility. If we identify that your family is qualified for any of our external funding opportunities, we will notify you via email and help guide you throughout our partners’ application process.

Goodwin Connections

Goodwin Connections provides childcare or preschool assistance for parents and caretakers pursuing completion of a certificate, associates, undergraduate, or graduate degree. Please check all that applies to you to determine eligibility

Seattle Preschool Program

We anticipate having a small number of spots available through the Seattle Preschool Program – Pathway at Beer Sheva Park, Camp Long Park, Carkeek Park, Jefferson Park, and Olympic Sculpture Park. All families interested in enrolling in a SPP-Pathways spot at Tiny Trees must complete preschool enrollment and submit a SPP-Pathways application.

The Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) will provide us with confirmation of available spots by April, after which point we will work with you and guide you through the city’s application process. To be eligible for this funding source, which covers tuition for eligible families, families must enroll in one of the above listed Seattle classrooms, must live within the Seattle City Limits, meet any additional income eligibility determined by DEEL, and have a child born between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2019 Please visit the SPP website to learn more.

By selecting yes, you understand that your SPP enrollment in a Tiny Trees Preschool classroom will not be guaranteed until your family is accepted into SPP Pathway by the City of Seattle. Tiny Trees will work with your family to complete the enrollment process but we cannot guarantee your SPP-Pathway enrollment. If you apply for an SPP spot and are not accepted by the city, we will do everything we can to place you in our programming with other financial assistance.
