We’re excited to announce a new 10-hour preschool program at Dottie Harper Park and the Burien Community Center! This program will offer a full-day of care in a unique outdoor / indoor environment in partnership with Burien Parks and Cultural Services. While most of the day will be spent learning and playing outside in the Dottie Harper Park classroom area, the Burien Community Center will have a dedicated indoor space for nap-time, bathrooms, and other activities.

While our typical program enrollment happened in the spring on a first come, first served basis, Dottie Harper Park / Burien Community Center enrollment will happen differently this summer. Instead of opening enrollment, we are starting with a waitlist sign up. Our Dottie Harper Park / Burien Community Center waitlist is open to everyone, and there is no cost to submit a waitlist form. Please sign up on the waitlist below to be considered for the upcoming round of enrollment for the Dottie Harper Park / Burien Community Center 2021-22 school year. We will notify families by July 1st of their enrollment or continued waitlist status.

Please join the waitlist by June 18th to be considered for the upcoming round of enrollment: Click this link for the Dottie Harper Park / Burien Community Center waitlist.

For enrollment, we will be prioritizing families in the area who are seeking longer/full-day childcare coverage for their 3-5 year-old kiddos, and those who qualify for the Working Connections Child Care subsidy. This means that once the enrollment form is available, we will first send it to these local, working families to complete their enrollment and secure their spot for next year. This enrollment process is designed to prefill half of the spots with local families and children who will benefit the most from a full-day outdoor preschool option.

Please check back in the summer as more information will added to this page soon! Please note that the above waitlist link can also be found on our 2021-22 Enrollment page (this is the same waitlist form; please just sign up once).
